MiMiT Posted May 31, 2014 #26 Share Posted May 31, 2014 We haven't done Windstar yet but imagine the tours we did from Princess in 2005 are about the same. Since we did all the land tours then we are going to forego them this time but they were all really interesting. We did snorkel trips at all ports in afternoons last time too. We loved the Tahaa drift snorkel and have booked it for August Wind Spirit. We also loved Bora Bora snorkel trip and are planning that again as well as Moorea. I would recommend a jeep tour of Bora Bora since we are there longer. We take our own gear to be sure it is comfortable and doesn't leak. Let me know what you do and your review. Can't wait! Love Tahiti!! Sent from my iPad using Forums
Strenz Posted May 31, 2014 Author #27 Share Posted May 31, 2014 Hi, I have done a review of our Pacific a Crossing and the inaugural Tahiti cruise with the Wind Spirit. It is under Cruise Critic Windstar cruises reviews. We did the Bora Bora jeep tour and it was ok, not my favorite, we were in open trucks, I am not a tour person I am more of an independent traveler. It rained that day so I just went I should have stayed on the ship and gone swimming, live and learn. I am a retired teacher with a private tutoring practice that is mainly higher level math. I am very interested in women not being afraid of math for it opens and closes many doors. My passions are travel both independent and Windstar for we have been on 14 cruises with them, we love the sails and the smallness. It appears that they also treat their people well and for us that is extremely important. My other passion is Italian and French opera and art. I am married to a goalie who still plays at 69, it all works! I hope you love the Windstar as much as we do. Happy Sailing. Susanne
Leos Folly Posted June 2, 2014 #28 Share Posted June 2, 2014 Were life vests supplied on the snokeling shore excursions? I can swim but I need that extra help to make it more enjoyable.
Strenz Posted June 2, 2014 Author #29 Share Posted June 2, 2014 Yes, life vests are offered on the excursions and Windstar has them as well, safety is tops.
