Debarkation question

We are leaving on the Carnival Valor this Sunday, i have a question about debarkation. What is the best way to go about getting a late time off of the ship? We have a late afternoon flight out of San Juan, and don't want to have to be off the ship first thing in the morning. Would be nice to take our time and get off the boat as late as possible. Any suggestions?

You don't have to leave when your zone is called. Stay onboard and eat a good breakfast in the MDR.

If you have a late flight you'll probably be one of the last zones anyway

wrigley is correct. You can leave anytime after your spot is called. I've been platinum recently, but have never left with the platinum self-debarkation group. I always leave later.

We enjoy a nice breakfast and leave the ship after most of the passengers have left. You will also get through customs much faster by waiting to disembark:)

Even though you don't have to leave when your zone is called, they still want you out of your cabins by 8:30 and off the ship by 10:30 so that they can start the proccess of boarding the next group of passengers.

I had thought we needed to be off by then, but this great...nice leisurely last morning. Can't wait...1 more day of work then fly to San Juan!! Much much much needed vacation.

It's a shame that for a week, they treat us like gold, then on the day of debarkation it's like Jeff Dunham's Walter says about WalMart..."Get your "stuff" and get out of here!"

When we have late flights we hopefully are at a port that does Luggage Express so we don't have to actually worry about lugging around bags. But if not we still let our luggage go with what ever zone number we're given and because we're Diamond it's always #1.

 

We leave it as #1 tags so it's easier to pick ours out when we finally get to the terminal.

 

We have a leisurely breakfast in the MDR, then go side somewhere on the Promenade until they are giving last call.
