Miami Advice - Marlins Game

We are flying in to FLL the day before our Miami cruise. We plan to get to Miami, get checked in, and then go see a Marlins game that night. We will catch a cab to the pier the next morning.

Does anyone have a particular hotel they would suggest that is convenient for both getting to the game and to the pier by cab?

Since I'm typing, what's the best way to get from Miami to FLL...cab or transportation service...costs? We have 5 people with luggage.

Thanks

Miami downtown/Biscayne boulevard or Brickell. Otherwise the airport area..

It depends a bit how early you'll arrive before the game? Quick stroll around the block for a bite or a lazy afternoon at SoBe? Or just checking in and heading to the stadium?

Which dates?

Late July, we will just take cab to the game near game time and eat near the hotel. We were looking at the downtown Hampton maybe

Brickell would be good yeah.

Here is some more downtown;

Jul 25, 2014 to Jul 26, 2014 - 2 Adults

Courtyard By Marriott Miami Downtown

Standard - 2 Beds $109 + $15 taxes/fees $124

InterContinental Miami downtown

Standard - 2 Beds $105 + $14 taxes/fees $119

Conrad Miami by Hilton

Deluxe City View - 2 Beds $113 + $15 taxes/fees $128

JW Marriott Miami Downtown

Deluxe - 2 Beds $119 + $16 taxes/fees $135

Via Travelpony. You will get a free $35 credit, off on 200 or more.

Let me know I picked the right dates. Didn't saw the Hampton on my dates.
