Early walk Off

Normally within an hour of scheduled arrival.

But the BA is scheduled normally at 8am in NYC but it is often docked at Pier88 at 7am.

They sometime use that extra hour t o store off loading baggage.

As long as the BA don't supposingly catch or run into a whale on its way into NY harbor and/or while getting ready to dock approaching the Hudson River, like last week - which obviously was highly unusual exception. It docked well past 10 AM after tug boats arrived to help & took CBP another hour to clear the ship, Self Walkoff didn't start until 11 or 11:30 AM as I recall - it was a zoo then.

 

When we came back on the BA in March, we docked at 6:30 AM just as we made our leisure way to the Garden Cafe for breakfast, which was surprisingly empty enough (those eager to go home/get off the ship already getting in line, etc.) They started calling Self Walk-Off around 7:30 AM and since we had Priority Disembarkation (Plantinum & Gold) - and our luggage were ready inside the terminal at 8:30 AM, we made our way to the AFT gangway at 8:35 AM and were out past CBP in about 10 minutes, cross 12th Avenue to catch a taxi & were home at 9:30 AM.

My mom just arrived back in NYC this morning. She is already off the ship and on her way to the airport. She said it was very efficient.

We got off at 7:30 AM with no line.

We have taken the Breakaway twice and always do the walk off with our luggage. Both times we were in our car by about 8:00
