Just got of QM2 on Friday and have to say the disembarkation went like a dream

We chose self disembarkation left the ship about 7am went through customs and emigration in less than 10 mins, so approx 7.15.

Whoops, car booked for 8.30 what do we do, UK phone would not work. Asked port person outside door where was there a phone to use she said next door, right as you go out of door. Embarkation building met Liz, a lady who works in embarkation. So helpful there were phones on the wall but they would not work for some reason. She phoned my car company, from her cell phone arranged, for them to come earlier. Fantastic thank you so much Liz.

Couple of hints for future travellers

UK Quad band phone would have worked if I had known to just to use like an American phone #1 in front of the phone # not have all the country codes as I had in.

Also the phones on the wall in embarkation had phone # for car companies that they recommend and if my experience is anything to go on smiling Liz will help you out.
