Third time lucky- Food & Drink in Costa Maya

Anybody had problems with food or drink in Costa Maya and Belize?

We have been to Costa Maya three times and have never had any problem with "revenge" from the food. We drank bottled beer and soda. I wish I could answer about Belize. We were scheduled to be there back in February; but I was called up and had to cancel the cruise.

Just because our American gastric systems host a different strain of bacteria than that in other countries, I would avoid the water, ice cubes and items washed in the local water (salad leaves, fruit) [img]http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif[/img]. We seem to react rather volatively when a new strain of intestinal bacteria is introduced [img]http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif[/img]. Otherwise, enjoy the flavors and varieties offered. [img]http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif[/img]
