Group cruise anyone???

Recommended Posts

I am interested in starting a group Cruise Critic cruise for the Quantum repositioning in May/June next year. Would anyone be interested in joining the group?

This cruise starts in Cape Fear, NJ on May 2, 2015 and ends 53 days later (June 24) in Shanghai, China. The cruise is really comprised of 5 different cruises but I only want those people that would plan to do the entire route. The Itinerary is as follows:

Transatlantic to Azores; Cartagena, Palma DeMallorca and Barcelona Spain; Rome; Naples; Athens; Suez Canal; Aqaba, Jordon; overnight in Dubai, UAE; Muscat, Oman, UAE; overnight in Cochin, India; Penang, Malaysia; overnight in Singapore; Kulaua Lumpore, Malaysia; Singapore (again); Ho Chin Minh City, Vietnam; overnight in Hong Kong; Xiamen, China; Shanghai, China. There are a total of 30 cruising days including the Suez Canal.

For those that haven't done a Group Cruise Critic Cruise here are some of the guidelines: We all deal with a TA determined by Cruise Critic. A group of cabins are set aside (several in each category) for the group and we all book thru the designated TA. There will be several parties aboard for the group depending on the size of the group. We can book tours together and we all get some Cruise Critic gifts.

The designated TA will negotiate rates directly with the cruise line so we get that benefit also.

I understand some CC members have already booked the cruise as have I but I would be like to lead a group cruise if anyone wants to join.

If you are interested, please reply and if there is enough interest, I will contact Laura and start the process to get the group together.

A "Cruise Critic" group cruise?

I just can imagine a voyage were everyone is all polite courteous, friendly and nobody would complain because its Royal.

The elevators are empty because everyone on cruisecritic takes the stairs.

hundreds of available chairs by the pool & theaters(no-chair hogs).

No dress code violations.

No smokers.

Everyone drinking water constantly.

Guests bathing in the hand sanitizers.

The staff would be happy because everyone has low expectations.

The biggest downfall would be the Diamond lounge, which would be packed wall to wall. Everyone outdoing the other.....

I will pass....
