Summit Oceanview Cafe Changes

In December there were a few wire baskets for French fries, and few other foods. I think the experiment is over.

I have booked Summit for April and November 2015. Are they still using the buffet pre-plated foods?

When we were on the Summit recently, there was a mixture.

Some foods were pre-plated, some were in little baskets, some were served to you by the server behind the counter, and some were still help yourself where people tossed the serving utensils back into the pans with the food.

 

I noticed that salads and sliced fruits were available either way, dish it out yourself or pick up a small pre-plated serving of salad or fruit.

 

At the aqua spa cafe, they put out separate holders for the serving utensils in the section where you helped yourself, but not at the regular buffet.

We rarely ate there, but I did not notice preplated foods, any more than from years past, and the wire baskets were only in a couple of locations.

Just back from the Summit a week ago. I cant compare to how Celebrity has done it before as this was our first Celebrity cruise. There was preplated salads, taco's, burritos, eggrolls. fires etc in a basket. It was a mixture of serve yourself and servers dishing it up. We really enjoyed the pasta station and the stir fry station. Also liked the the one all the way in the back that grilled minute steaks, chicken or pork chops as you waited. It was quick and tasty.
