Tables for two

I hope this isn't too much of a hijack. But I booked our upcoming September cruise a few months ago and have confirmed 6:00PM traditional dining, I requested a table for 2 when I made the booking. Does this mean a table for 2 is confirmed or is 6:00PM the only thing that's "confirmed"?

6 PM is confirmed. They don't have enough tables for two to give them to everyone who requests one. Good luck!

They pretty much assign people to large tables & hope that that will be OK, so unless you see the Maitre D after you board to assure you're at a table for 2 you won't get one automatically.

Traditional seating ... table for two.

Put request in special requests.

Problem solved.

The problem is not solved if you also want flexibility of when you eat....which is the other advantage of anytime.

The seating time is set, but the table size is just a request. When you board, go to the MDR and check your assigned table. If you like it, fine. If not, the maitre 'd will be in a MDR (check patter for time and location). Go there and make your case. If this does not give you an acceptable table, you may want to request AD if it is offered on your ship.
