Crunch Captain Posted May 31, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 31, 2004 Where in Mahahual can I find the prettiest beach: clear, blue water, soft, white sand, where I can relax, soak up some sun and enjoy some good food and drink? I appreciate any advice you can offer. Thanks! crunch captain
brucejr Posted June 16, 2004 #2 Share Posted June 16, 2004 Pretty much all of Mahahual is on a beach that is fairly close to the one you describe. Is this close to what you are looking for?

Crunch Captain Posted June 17, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted June 17, 2004 Yes, JGordon! That's exactly what I'm looking for. Does it have a name or a bar/restaurant associated with it? How Can I find it? thanks Crunch Captain
brucejr Posted June 17, 2004 #5 Share Posted June 17, 2004 That section of beach is directly across the main road from Hotel Mahahual: It is very close to where the taxis drop people off when the get to Mahahual. Actually, it seemed to me that almost all of the beach was nice like this part.
skylark Posted June 17, 2004 #6 Share Posted June 17, 2004 brucejr I understand that the cost for a taxi is $3 into Mahahual and $2 back is this true? And is that per taxi or per person in the taxi? We leave this Saturday And I will definately be doing the beaches off the village. Great Picture, I see myself there already with drink in hand!!! CCBB Posted October 13, 2004 #13 Share Posted October 13, 2004 Has anyone done horseback riding at the Mahahual beach? What was the cost and how was your experience? My two girls love horseback riding but they are only novice to immediate riders.
Rare 01Sweetpea Posted October 13, 2004 #14 Share Posted October 13, 2004 BruceJR - is this beach one that offers the "beach breaks" or is just an open to the public beach? Thanks!
bruce-r Posted October 14, 2004 #15 Share Posted October 14, 2004
BruceJR - is this beach one that offers the "beach breaks" or is just an open to the public beach? Thanks!
It is the public beach in Mahahual. Beers were $2, the food from the restaurant we ate from was very good and cheap. We spent less than $30 for everything, excluding taxi fare. It was probably my family's favorite day, even over swimming with the dolphins.
dianelevene Posted October 15, 2004 #16 Share Posted October 15, 2004 Was there a spot in the town where you can get the taxis back to the pier or did you arrange with the driver to come back to get you?
bruce-r Posted October 16, 2004 #17 Share Posted October 16, 2004 Taxis all seemed to stop at the same place to let people out. We just went back to the same place and there were taxis waiting.
