Question for someone off freedom June first

I watched the freedom since we will be doing your same itinerary. Do you know if you went straight north up by Cozumel on your way back or between Cuba and Dominican Republic. Two different sites have the ship going different ways. Also does freedom have one of those lighted maps that show where you are or going?

I just asked a buddy who got off this morning. He said they went between Cuba and DR.

Thanks. I am wondering also if you can see any land on this trip besides your ports.

We went through Cuba and DR. You see Cuba for quite a while, and we saw some smaller islands as well....hope that helps!

Great do you remember what time of the day it was? I am assuming your second to last sea day.

We slowed waaaayyyy down on the last sea day (about 12 knots compared to 18/19 knots), so we saw Cuba nearly the whole morning and afternoon of our last sea day. You will also see it the next to last sea day, but I don't remember exactly when.

I hope you aren't expecting to see recognizable objects like buildings etc. Basically all we have evr been able to see is a slightly higher area on the horizon.. At night we could see a few lights and that was looking from the top deck of the ship. In all my 17 cruises we have never cruised close enough to any island to be able to see anything except when we are getting close to a port.
