eastern carribean/cheaper port for airlines, Miami or Port canaveral?

We want to book a eastern Caribbean cruise. We were wondering which port city has the lower airfare. Miami, ( could use ft Lauderdale) or Port Canaveral? Any help? What have you experienced?

It depends where you are coming from.... and how much it is to Mia vs Orlando!

 

For me, from Providence, I can get cheap flights to Orlando or FLL via Southwest. It was worth it for us last year to fly to FLL, rent a Limo to Miami. The flight alone was 600.00 less (for 5 of us).

 

This year, we are sailing out of FLL - flights were only 168.00pp.

 

Just keep checking rates on Expedia/Southwest/Jet Blue....this should help decide.

Same here. Flights to Orlando were $200pp cheaper than flying to Miami. The ride from Orlando to Port Canaveral was only 45 minutes.
