digital_curator Posted August 4, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 4, 2005 Please don't refer me to the Curacao Board- I have posted there with very little response- this board is not as active as many of the other ports. Two questions: 1. If people bought Curacao liqueur where did you buy it and for how much? Is it cheaper at the factory? 2. Has anyone done the Animal Encounter Snorkel/Scuba at the Sea Aquarium? What did you think? Is it hard to get to the aquarium by taxi/bus? O.k. so more than two questions, but I appreciate any info. Cheers,
Joyfredsblondecruiser Posted August 4, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 4, 2005 We took a private tour to the Curacao Factory and the driver took us other places that we would not of seen had we not gone on it. I don`t remember the price of the curacao but I did buy it and thought it was a reasonable price. I also bought the cologne and after shave which had a lovely scent. I bought something similar to vick`s which was very good. and I bought a refreshing splash that they sold and some soap. I liked everything I purchased from the Curacao Factory. I would purchase them again. Happy Sailing, Joy
digital_curator Posted August 6, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted August 6, 2005 Thanks Joy, I haven't seen a lot of tours that go to the factory. Do you remember who you went with? Cheers,
Joyfredsblondecruiser Posted August 7, 2005 #4 Share Posted August 7, 2005 We had a taxi driver that had taken us from the Pier to the cannopy tour pick us up after the tour and take us for a tour of the Tequilla Factory and sightseeing. I know we met others who did the same thing there. I think a taxi would be the way to do it. Happy Sailing, Joy

digital_curator Posted August 7, 2005 Author #8 Share Posted August 7, 2005 Joy- what other flavours? I was a bartender and the only one I have ever heard of is the orangy one, though I know it comes in a variety of colours....
