How do they make money on these private islands besides drinks and private cabanas ?

 

Seriously? How much money do they make, say, at st Thomas when almost everyone gets off the ship for most of the day? That would be nothing from those people during that time. If those same people are on a deserted island with a few bars, my guess is a good portion will buy alcohol, arguably carnivals biggest money maker.

They do make good profits when people book tours thru the ship.

 

On the private island they act as the tour companies so they get it all.
