Port of Miami Pre-Cruise Hotel

Looking to see what is a good hotel around the Port of Miami that has a cruise package that Shuttles to and from the port and allows you to leave your car for the length of the cruise.

From what I understand, there are very FEW hotels in Miami, that offer a shuttle to the port.

For our cruise next month, we booked the Intercontinental, purely based on what we've read on here:D:D:D

We are just planning on getting a taxi to the port.

From what I understand, it's a short 5 minute ride.

There are also some hotels on the south side of FLL that provide shuttles to POM. Not sure if they allow leaving a car since we fly into FLL and then take a cab/shuttle to PE.

The Florida Departures section may have some answers to what you are looking for. Doing a quick internet search, one hotel that offers it is the Best Western located here: http://www.bestwesternpremiermia.com/special-pkg/miami-park-cruise-pkg.aspx. Its about six miles from the port, so I wouldn't say its downtown.

There are 2 Holiday Inn locations that do this close to MIA. One charges $12 PP one way, the other $1. I have used both, but it has been a couple years and sorry.....can't remember which ones but they have the information on their website.

We are booked with Embassy Suites. Pick up from the airport, Manager's Reception (not sure exactly what is involved but I think free drinks), hot breakfast, and shuttle to the port. Pretty reasonable price, too ($160 with taxes)

There are no hotels near the port where parking your car while gone is included. Look at the hotels closer to the airport. A few good chains are in the airport Blue Lagoon area.

A not her hotel with parking popular with those on a budget is LA Quinta East.

Use stay123.com and parksleepstay.com for researching.

Downtown hotels like the Intercontinental will not work with car.

FWIW, I don't know of any hotels that offer the shuttle back to your hotel, most are just one way shuttles to the port.
