yellowhat Posted June 10, 2014 #1 Share Posted June 10, 2014 :)I sailed the Sun in March 2014. 11 night. Fantastic. The Best. The wrap-around-the-whole ship promenade was worth every cent. Yes NCL Food is world-'famous' - but don't get discouraged. I ate every night in MDR. THe menu showed what was available - meat, fish, vegetables, etc. I simply asked (with a gentle tone and smile) for the offered meat/fish, double offering of the evening vegetable and asked for any sauces to be put 'on the side'. I even asked for a 'hot' plate. (Prevented the food from getting cold) I never never had problem. Everyone (dozens of staff) would be so gracious and kind. ..the sauces and salad dressings can be interesting..so it's easier to serve yourself. I Love the Sun. Kind and gentle crew. They just need to know what you have in your mind. A
pizzalady1 Posted June 10, 2014 #2 Share Posted June 10, 2014 You can also ask for the food from the other restaurant. For example, the MDR in the aft has a NY Strip, but the MDR mid-ships has a rib eye steak. All you have to do is ask if you want the other option.
