Ship visit, what are we to expect?

My wife and I have booked up for a "ship visit" on Nautica in September. Having never sailed with Oceania ( yes we know we won't be sailing ) or been on a ship visit before, we are wondering what to expect. For example, wil we have a choice of restaurants for lunch?

From our experiences of several cruise ship visits, you'll have a general show round of public areas, followed by viewings of several types of staterooms/suites. Some ships gather everyone together either before or after the tours to 'sell' you the cruise line. This is followed by food....sometimes a meal in the main dining room or nibbles and drinks, never a choice of venues, the shop is being prepared for a new infux of passengers. You are usually off the ship by 14.00. Is your visit in Southampton?
