roylenes Posted August 5, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 5, 2005 My husband and I, along with 2 other couples will be on the Sapphire to Alaska next week. 5 of these like a sweet wine, I prefer a Merlot or something much drier. Can you order wine by the glass at dinner, or if you do buy a bottle and don't consume it all in one night will they store it for you and serve from it again the next night? Thanks for the help. spongerob Posted August 5, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 5, 2005 You can do both. The selection of wines sold by the glass is limited. If you don't finish off a bottle, it will be stored and waiting for you the next evening.
cruzinchris Posted August 5, 2005 #3 Share Posted August 5, 2005 There are suggested wines with each dinner menu, and most are served by the glass. I'm not sure if everything on the winelist is served by the glass. You're right about an unfinished bottle being saved for another night. Also, if you order a bottle in a lounge, they will "collar" it for you to carry to the dining room, or you can have it sent to your dining venue. Bon Voyage! chrysalis Posted August 5, 2005 #4 Share Posted August 5, 2005 .....or, if you are concerned about the selection, you can bring your own wine on board the ship and take it to the dining room.
