"Free Cruise"

We were given a comp. "free cruise" from our local casino Foxwoods.

We are not high rollers by any means , but we do frequent our local casino.

My question is, are we expected to spend $$$ on the ships casino?

Not sure why we were chosen for this "free Cruise"....

Any input would be appreciated!

We also picked up our certificate from Foxwoods a couple of weeks ago for a comped inside cabin on NCL. We have taken 2 of these cruises already and I don't think you're required to play in the casino but I do anyway. The first one was on the Epic last December and I didn't have much luck there but the last one was on the Breakaway in March and I had a little luck on that cruise, just enough to keep playing. I was also pleasantly surprised when I called CAS for a quote on a cruise on the Breakaway in October and they offered me a comped balcony cabin.

You'll also get a drink card for free drinks while playing in the casino.

The taxes, port charges and fees will come to approx. $300 per person.

If you scroll down a few pages, you will find some discussions on this.

You are expected to play, not not required to play one cent. They do this deal with the hopes that you will play, just like you did at XXX casino. That is the only reason they do it.

If you play enough, you may also get free drinks - cruise ships do not normally give out drinks like land casinos.

If you play enough, the ship casino may give you a good deal on the next cruise. They may also give you some comps for your current cruise.

It is all in how much you play.

Dropping a few hundred dollars is not going to get you hundreds in comps. Simple business.
