Tennis anyone?

I've noticied that some of the newer, larger boats offer tennis courts now. What are the tennis offerings like? Has anyone ever played onboard before? Do they offer lessons?

We were on Grand Princess last year and they had a paddleball court.

 

As a tennis player, I would have to say it is more of a novelty than anything else and was mostly used by children. I don't recall any lessons or other activities in this area.

 

With that said, there may be full tennis courts on other ships.

I am interested in any ships with tennis courts because I have a friend who plays tennis who says she won't go on a cruise unless there is a tennis court. Please help!!!

We played paddle ball two years ago with the help of several on board who had played before. There were only 3 balls which the most experienced kept (with permission) and we enjoyed playing (3of us in our group). I seem to remember seeing something in a revue re volleyball and came on this thread to ask which is being played now. Anybody know?
