Has anyone taken the "Jewels of the North" (UR45) excursion with RCI? If so where did it go. The description is very vague in their excursion brochure although another excursion with the same name but a different number (UR21) on other cruises is more descriptive. Are they the same excursion?

Totally off your question, but don't be afraid to rent a car in Akureyri. We had a car waiting for us at the port. Roads are in better shape than in the US and are well marked. As you might expect, not much traffic either. We visited every site on the excursions and added a few others along the way.

Thanks for that tip. Hadn't thought of that. My problem is that I'd worry about breaking down miles from anywhere and missing the ship!
