Going to Saint John?

Recommended Posts

Having grown up in New Brunswick, I've got to tell you the best beach near Saint John (do not post as St.John) is New River Beach-which is about 30 minutes West of Saint John. Be aware that even in the summer for you southern folk, this water will be colder than you're used to.

The best way to get there is by rental car. Once you are there though the beach is beautiful, long and has a great deal of history in the near by valleys.

There are several walking trails, one that will take you to a gorge they say was created from the last ice age...I think they say that about every hole in the earth though :)

Below is a link to Tourism New Brunswick's information about New River Beach:

Or you can simple put "New River Beach" into your Google search.
