ShipShape Program

Can anyone tell me what you have to do to earn the various things they offer? I remember this program from when I cruised a few years ago, and I would really like to earn some goodies (if I can tear myself away from everything else going on onboard and in port). :rolleyes: I seem to remember having to walk a mile in the morning, but I thought I saw on a post somewhere they offer the "walk-a-mile" in the afternoon, too.

Last cruise I got a sling back pack (very nice) and a t-shirt (faded after first washing). I walked (actually ran) every morning with my son in his stroller, they gave me double points, my 11 year old was with me several days, we then got triple points. I did the step aerobic class several times also. It was not hard to accumulate the points.

 

I was a few dollars or points short of getting both items, but the person working at the ship shape window was very generous and allowed me to get both items anyway, just ask.

They gave away ship-shape dollars for a vast array of activities, including mini-golf tournament, line dance classes, and ring toss. I got half of mine on the morning and afternoon walks. Got a very nice stainless insulated mug and a workout towel when I redeemed them. I have lost the mug ... hope they still offer them next March. I plan to earn another one.

No you don't get points for just working out in the gym unless you are in one of the organized classes. All of the activities which get Shipshape dollars are organized, even the walk a mile.

You can find out which activities give SS $'s by reading the Daily Compass. Those activities are denoted with a little running man (or something?).:p
