Passports

I always renew mine right AFTER the last trip during which the passport was valid. I'm always within a year of expiration when I do so......but, I also try to do it during a slow time of year.

In my family, having valid travel docs is important, since I have a lot of elderly family living overseas. I travel to Europe several times a year, often just for a long weekend (if I can get very cheap rates) just to see them. Often the planned trips are the major birthdays.....and last-minute trips have been funerals during the last few years. So, I can't delay....I need one at the ready at any time.
