Rare mlmdaisy Posted June 23, 2014 #1 Share Posted June 23, 2014 We would like to spend a few hours on a smaller catamaran or sailboat and do some snorkeling. We don't want a big party boat with lots of craziness. We're thinking something that takes out no more than 20 people. Any suggestions?
Rare crewsweeper Posted June 24, 2014 #2 Share Posted June 24, 2014 Similar sailing inquiry here. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2047633 I suggest you google excursion providers in Belize. For the most part you'll find them to be off power boats only. The better snorkeling reefs are a bit too far away for a half day outing. Alternatively, you can take a water taxi to Caye Caulker and perhaps find a short term snorkel boat from Ragmuffin or Hicaco or others. (Google caye caulker snorkeling for reviews and contact information) Typically these folks go out once in the morning and once in the afternoon for a couple of hours. Assuming you can catch an early water taxi you might be able to make a morning boat and then catch an early afternoon water taxi return. Your biggest concern would be the time difference in Belize versus your ship and the time of your ship's last tender.
