radgal72 Posted June 30, 2014 #79 Share Posted June 30, 2014 Finally cruising to somewhere other than the Bahamas. We are going to key west and Cozumel. Taking my mom on her first cruise for her 70th birthday. This will also be our first time cruising that we won't have to get off the ship and drive right away. We are cruising from Miami and plan on spending two nights in cocoa beach. Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app
PresDuLac Posted July 1, 2014 #80 Share Posted July 1, 2014 do everything I want at my OWN pace & discretion. First SOLO cruise ever. Last cruise was in 2008 though I've been to all the ports before in NE/Canada, that doesn't matter time to go from selfless to selfish Me too! Can't wait! :D I was just on Pride in May but, while the cruise was absolutely wonderful and fantastic, the not so very close relative I took with me was not. Never again, I learned my lesson. I can't wait to cruise by myself and plan to do it once a year from now on.

momof3cruisers Posted July 1, 2014 #82 Share Posted July 1, 2014 I will be cruising with 2 of my sisters who have never cruised before. I am taking them to Orient Beach. (Bad sissy Bad sissy) Have you warned them? ;) Taking my mom on her first cruise. She retired 13 years ago & 6 months later became my dad's caretaker 24/7. He passed away in April, she really needs a vacation. I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope you and your mom have a wonderful time and make lots of new happy memories. Our firsts this cruise: We have FTTF so, that in itself is one of them. It will allow us the one I'm super excited about. We are going to get a Guy's burger and fun beverage and take it right to our balcony. So so excited! This cruise is all about alone time for my husband and I. Next, I want to do the sea day brunch in the dining room. Also, I plan to go to tea time by myself while DH takes an afternoon nap. Yay!
