2016 Panama Canal or Mexican Rivieria

NCL announced a couple of months ago that the Jewel would be going to Panama Canal in January 2016 for a 13 day and 15 day cruise. I have been waiting to book it but noticed that the Jewel is doing the Mexican Rivieria the whole month of January 2016. Does anyone know if this Panama Canal has changed? Will they use another ship or cancel the Mexican Riviera on the Jewel.
