We will be on the Glory in end of September, for the western carribean.

We would like to see at least one Maya site, which place would you recommend ?

Is it better to do that from Cozumel or from Belize ?

Pitty, but Progresso was cancelled.

Thanks in advance

Andree

Ok my wife and I did Xunantunich on our honeymoon in Belize and people who were with us on the tour said that these ruins were a lot better than those in mexico. This was on the inspiration in October of 2003 by the way.

The only down side to Xunantunich was that it took all day. However the tour guides were awesome, and you got to see a lot of Belize this way. We actually got to climb to the top of the ruins as well. I heard from others you could only look at the ruins at the other sites and weren't suppose to climb on them.

Hope that helps.

People are allowed to climb the pyramid at Chichen Itza. The interior climb is restricted to certain hours. I'll know about Uxmal in Oct but haven't read any restrictions yet.

Asdus. Sorry you will miss Progreso/Merida.
