Shoe/Formal Dress Question

Recommended Posts

I have a black floor-length gown that I'm hoping is appropriate for formal night for my cruise. But I'm being indecisive about shoes for the dress. I have been looking for black sandals to wear with it but haven't had much luck finding anything I like that doesn't have a ridiculously high heel on it. So, I've attached a couple of links (that I hope will work) and I'm hoping someone can help me decide on shoes to wear:

My dress (I hope it's appropriate):

Here's a pair of shoes that are very similar to a pair I've had laying in my close forever. But I'm not sure they're fancy enough (and I always like getting new shoes):

We leave for our cruise on Wednesday night so I have very little shopping time. I saw a pair of shoes that I really liked but they didn't have black and I'm basically out of time. Besides, I really like the silver ones (even more than the black) but I don't suppose I could get away the silver to go with my dress? (See attached):

I love sparkles but I don't want to over-do it. And the heel cannot be too ridiculously high or I'll be taking them off anyway. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for any help you can give me!

Azfirstcruise,

Yes, the dress is certainly appropriate for formal night on your cruise.

As for the shoes, I definitely vote for the silver ones. They're much younger, prettier and with it looking. The black ones look matronly. Besides, if you already own a similiar pair, why buy another?

Have a great cruise.

Jane
