I keep checking the shore excursions to get a cabana for HMC if someone cancels, and I noticed a new shore excursion listed. It is listed under the NY port and called "Home Port Advisory" and the price is $0.01 per person LOL.

 

I am sure it is a typo, but I had to laugh when I saw the price. This is what's listed:

Minimum age: 99 years

That's funny. Maybe they are offering it to passengers at this price to offset the rise in gratuities.:D

What i've always assumed (cause this is on every sailing), is that the system needs to charge something, this homeport advisory (from what i assume) is to sign up to get notifications if your embarkation is delayed for example.

How would an "advisory" be interpreted as an actual tour?

Read the reviews for the "Home Port Advisory", some are quite funny! (Galveston and Miami)

"The home port advisory is something that we put there for internal use and its not anything we actually offer the guests until such time as text alerts for delayed embarkation etc are needed"

HAHA....I saw that the other day when looking at excursions for our cruise on the Pride. I thought I was really getting something ;) :p

My PVP told me it's some strange quirk in the system, that they need to display something for the home port. I don't think anyone actually buys it.
