Apple classes / store on ship

What experiences have you had with the Apple classes onboard?

 

I think I am proficient with my iPad and iPhone, but I always curious to learn more. Wondering if I could learn something new, or if I could be teaching an iPad hints class.

 

How extensive is the Apple store on the ship?

It all depends. They seem to deal mostly with inexpensive users, so if you are already an experienced iOS user, I would ask before signing up.

 

I don't think the apple store is all that large on the ship, and on the last cruise that I paid attention, they were actually selling the iPad for more than the US MSRP. I believe the price is good if you are from the UK or somewhere in Europe, but not the US.

We went to the classes every day on the Slihouette. They were held in Celebrity Central and were very well attended mostly by older people like my wife and I. We have a working knowledge of our phones and Ipads but we did learn things at the class.

That is why I suggested asking what kinds of things they will be teaching while onboard. It all depends on your level of knowledge ahead of time.
