Southampton - Boarding times for RCI

Question for those who have sailed on RCI from Southampton recently.

 

First time boarding a sailing in Southampton for us (disembarked there before, but never started from there though).

 

Just received our cruise docs and there's a letter advising of staggered check in times by deck number.

 

Not too bothered for us as we're on deck 9 and they advise 11:30 am which is only slightly later than we planned anyway.

 

As we're D+ we could turn up according to the letter at 11:00, but those who we are travelling with are first time cruisers (one family are on the same deck as us and we are covering their on board account so I want them to check in with us), but the others are on deck 7 and the letter advises 1:15pm for them.

 

The letter also advises that if you turn up before your designated time you will turned away and told to come back at the advised time.

 

If you have sailed on RCI from Southampton recently, what has been your experience regarding staggered check in times and boarding?

Sorry this is off topic but I am hoping you might check this post. I saw you posted that you used suntransfers in Amsterdam and wondered if everything was fine with that service.
