We are also doing this itinerary on 22nd September and have found the information already on here really helpful. Would really appreciate any information on Mytilene and Kusadasi (not Ephasus as we have already done this).

There is quite a nice beach called Ladies Beach a couple of miles up the road from Kusadasi. You can catch a Dolmus from outside the port gates (same side of the road - no need to cross over). I think it was 1€ and about 10 minutes away. There is a promenade with nice cafes and the beach has good beach furniture - there is a cost as a notice said the proceeds went to provide bursaries for students. We thought it was a pleasant place for a beach day and relaxing. It was early season when we went and wasn't busy at all but I don't know how busy it gets.
