Oasis Smoking Policy

Recommended Posts

That's great!! What do you normally do when someone is smoking on the balcony? Call Customer Service, etc? I love spending time on my balcony and it's very irritating to me that people do not follow the rules.

Call Guest Services.

What makes you think other passengers will not be following the rules? My advice is don't worry about it. You will deal with it if it happens. There has been very little talk here of smoking on balconies since the policy went into effect.

We have experienced smokers on nearby balconies several times on multiple cruises since the new policy. Call guest services if it does happen and tell them the cabin number if you know it.

Because my last cruise in Feb. 2014....there were smokers smoking on their balconies....and I've experienced it on other recent cruises as well on RCCL.

From what I could tell or smell in this case it seemed like many still try to sneak one in. I'm sure it is quite common.

If the policy was effective in Feb. 2014 then they shouldn't have been smoking on the balconies when I was on my cruise.

I have just seen you cant smoke on balconies which is great but when this ship comes to Europe in September will there be parts of this ships that they will allow smoking eg casino ? english pub ?

Hard to say. You can smoke in the casino now, however, they seem to totally ban inside smoking when cruising out of the UK. I don't know what they will do when cruising out of Barcelona.

RCCL is considered a non-smoking ship, with the exception of an outside deck area, and a section of the Casino. The Casino is the only inside location.

No matter where you go, there are going to be those inconsiderate and will smoke, where they know it is not allowed, or wanted. Does not matter if you are on a ship, or not.

What happens, is that you need to report it. It is up to everyone to police these no smoking policies. With enough fines, they will get the hint.

Call customer services or tell your concierge which room and they will take care of the problem. I did it on our last cruise and had no problem turning in the ppl.

I have sailed from Europe with Rccl l the last three years and smoking was allowed in all English pubs as well as casino, we couldn't go into pub as you couldn't see anyone for smoke, even just walking past on royal promenade it stuck to your clothes
