Overtyme Posted July 25, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 25, 2014 With little time left until her deployment, I wonder what's left to do on the Quantum of the Seas buildout punch-list. Any thoughts? DEIx15x8 Posted July 25, 2014 #4 Share Posted July 25, 2014 Furnishings. To save weight during the Elms River Conveyance most of the moveable elements like tables and chairs are not onboard until after she gets to the ocean. Things like sheets and dishes are also included in this category.

Tyler80 Posted July 25, 2014 #6 Share Posted July 25, 2014 Finish deck plans. Thank you. There is a lot of unknowns according to the deck plans. I don't really understand the whole situation. Oasis had many reveals, like all the neighborhoods. Quantum has unique spaces, but where is everything else? Yes we know about Two70, SeaPlex, the 4 main dining spaces, and Mamma Mia in the theater. But what else is there? No talk about pools, other interior spaces like Casino, Royal Promenade, etc.
Overtyme Posted July 25, 2014 Author #7 Share Posted July 25, 2014 (edited) Updated List... Adding Shake-down process Anything else? Attach North Star Attacb Flow Riders Attach Funnels Furnishings (not to be done until after Elms River Conveyance) Glass Work Dishes, Sheets, etc. Sea Trials Shake-down process, which includes first performances on the actual stage, first dining services (crew to crew), on-board training, etc. Share Floor Plans and Make final announcements (the floor plans are probably already in place and finished, however, for one reason or another, they have not been completely revealed to the public). Phoenix1949 Posted July 25, 2014 #8 Share Posted July 25, 2014 (edited) The crew and the rest of the on board staff. There must be a considerable amount of training involved for all the new innovations. Edited July 25, 2014 by Phoenix1949
Tall-Cruiser Posted July 25, 2014 #9 Share Posted July 25, 2014 Usually some of the heavy interior furniture is not put on until after the river conveyance. That may also include some of the heavy gym equipment. The pools may also be filled after the conveyance. I think a lot of the final touches may be done while at Eemshaven. They will most likely load furniture, etc and fill the pools before final sea trials. In order to pass sea trials, you want the ship loaded down as close to what it will normally be on an everyday basis.

scotandtamcruzn4fun Posted August 8, 2014 #18 Share Posted August 8, 2014 (edited) Final payment for our Dec 1st cruise is two weeks away. First I book a cruise on a ship not built, second I pay for a cruise on a ship with yet to be revealed areas. I am happy to be sailing on her but disappointed with the lackluster way Royal handled the build.
