Recommendations for Hotel in San Pedro/Long Beach/Torrance Area

Looking for an inexpensive hotel in this area. We are driving so no problem with a longer commute to the pier but would like a reasonable hotel/motel in decent condition.

Sounds like you're aware that going too inexpensive in the LB/SP area can lead to questionable lodgings in sketchy neighborhoods. I would suggest a Holiday Inn Express, Hampton Inn, etc. If it's on a weekend you can choose an area like Ontario or Fullerton where prices are reasonable, then drive to the port without morning traffic concerns.

If you want to be closer-in or near the ocean, try Huntington Beach, Belmont Shore/Cal State Long Beach, Torrance, or Hermosa/Manhattan/Redondo Beach areas.
