Hayden Posted April 20, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 20, 2004 Is anyone scheduled to go on the Sep. 18 cruise from Monte Carlo? This is my first Radisson cruise and would welcome any hints or ideas. Thanks.

gee when? Posted April 21, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 21, 2004 What a fantastic itinerary! I am including it in my response so others can also help out. Starting at the end, be sure to be up on deck as you sail into Venice, as it is just awe inspriring! If RSSC offers a private tour of the Cathedral at night, don't miss it! Taormina is a lovely town with wonderful little shops. After seeing the fantastic ancient Greco-Roman theatre with the view toward Mt Etna, plan on lunch overlooking the water and some shopping. You can find plenty of information about Sorrento and the others on the ports board, as well as by doing a search here on RSSC. Many people have written about these ports. One tip for Portofino, you do not need to do a tour here, it is a tiny little place which is easily explored on your own. For Rome you must allow 1 1/2 hours travel time each way (with traffic), and from Livorno to Florence is at least 2 hours. San Gimignano, Sienna, and Pisa are closer to the port and are wonderful options. From Monte Carlo, my choice would be St. Paul de Vence. Have fun!
