greenyogurt2000 Posted August 8, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 8, 2014 Hello again, Since my last thread netted me some great info, I have one final item to lock into place. We are arriving tomorrow into Sea-Tac and I'm trying to figure out the easiest/best value for getting to our hotel. 1. Taxi (concerned about number of people, cost and arranging pickup) 2. Shared shuttle (concerned about cost and arranging pickup) 3. Light link rail (concerned about distance and luggage, then calling hotel for last mile to pick us up) Would love advice on what you have found to work best. Thanks! garycarla Posted August 8, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 8, 2014 The west coast ports board covers this often. There are some services you can call. If you do taxi, there is nothing to arrange, just walk out and get them. But you will need two of them. Cost then exceeds a "service". Do you all arrive at same time? We did the train thing last time. Pretty fair walk to get to it. We then walked the two blocks to hotel from there. Fair idea, but probably will not do that again. greenyogurt2000 Posted August 8, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted August 8, 2014 Thank you for your reply. I'm really new here and didn't realize there was a west coast ports forum. I will check that out posthaste.
tutuwahineLV Posted August 8, 2014 #4 Share Posted August 8, 2014 Hello Green, I checked the Sea-Tac airport site and found a couple of services listed: Shuttle Express, which would be 59$ for 5 adults in a shared van or 100 for an exclusive van and Downtown airporter. I didn't check the exact rates on that on. The links to the providers are on the Sea-Tac website under Ground Transportation:: bus/shuttle/courtesy. Hope this helps. Green, I would just go outside to the cab area and have them get you a shuttle van to your hotel. Yes, there is a Sound Transit train into downtown Seattle, but it would be a long walk up hill to your hotel. (Seattle is built on hills like San Francisco). The Airporter is a bus that has an established route to most major hotels in downtown Seattle. I do not know if it would go clear out to 6th and Denny or not. Your hotel would be within a short walking distance of the Space Needle. Have a wonderful cruise.
