Beach close to Carnival Port

Is there a nice beach close to the Carnival port on St. Kitts? I've seen quite a few excursions but thinking that a beach day may be more up our alley this time around.

The closest beaches are at Frigate Bay. North Frigate beach is on the Atlantic side with the Marriott occupying a portion of the beach front. South Frigate beach is on the quieter Caribbean side. Several beach front bar/restaurant opportunities. It is about a 15 min drive or less. Many cruisers go to South Friars beach. It is only about 5 more minutes from the Frigate bay area. There are several places to hang out. Shipwreck is there, my favorite hangout when we are on the island.
