Dicenator Posted August 10, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 10, 2014 My wife wants to get away for a few weeks in February since she can no longer stand the cold winters in New Jersey. We've been researching condo rentals in various Caribbean Islands. Wherever we end up staying there has to be casinos nearby. At first we were focused in on either Condado or Isle Verde in Puerto Rico. Tonight we started looking at Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic since we've never been there. They have some very good prices for really nice places in Punta Cana. So I started doing some research on the casino scene. The biggest and apparently best casino is the Hard Rock. The second largest seems to be the Tower Princess. Most of the rest of them seem to be really small with like 35 slot machines and 6 or 7 table games and are located within the larger resort complexes. So now my concern is the craps playing conditions. I've had some bad experiences in Puerto Rico and Atlantis in Nassau is almost unplayable. If anyone can fill in the blanks I would really appreciate it. Some of my concerns are as follows: 1- Do they allow dice setting? 2- What is the minimum bet? 3- Are the tables 12 feet long or longer? 4- Is the bounce normal or excessive? 5- Are the tables filled with players all the time? 6- Do they start in with the heat if you are throwing well?
