092306 Posted August 12, 2014 #52 Share Posted August 12, 2014 We are usually around $300 for two adults and a child, plus whatever cash we spend in the casino which isn't much. A few drinks, pictures (blame DS for that because they take such cute pics of him we can't pass up), some coffees and some gift shop souvenirs. This time we are going with 3 adults, one child and a $600 OBC, so I hope to come home with a little.
DJW8385 Posted August 12, 2014 #53 Share Posted August 12, 2014 Right before we got off the Dream yesterday, the bill was already at my door. I spent $635 😞 but it was worth it though. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Ktcooper Posted August 12, 2014 #54 Share Posted August 12, 2014 I spent about $1300 on my 1st cruise a 5 day. That was almost all drinks but we didn't buy the drink package that time. We also bought a couplet shirts, 2 cartons of smokes, and a few other odds and ends in the duty free. That was our honeymoon so we drank a bit more than normal. I hope to keep in in the same ballpark on my 7 day in November but my stepson is with us this time so there are 3 of us. Also my father in laws coming and he's my drinking buddy so we'll see how that goes. Oh well the way I see it I'm on vacation and I work hard all year so I can enjoy myself on a cruise. DJW8385 Posted August 12, 2014 #55 Share Posted August 12, 2014 Around $600 on our S&S card. I keep the charge on our Discover card to get the cashback reward. I should've done the same smh Sent from my iPhone using Forums
ccxnola Posted August 12, 2014 #56 Share Posted August 12, 2014 This is like asking a lady 'How old are you?' Don't ask the question!! The answer is most likely painful and is most likely not truthful!! What goes on during a cruise stays with the credit card owner!!
IDcruising Posted August 12, 2014 #57 Share Posted August 12, 2014 I spend a minimum of $1500 for two people on a seven day cruise. That's on the low side!

Sparky2 Posted August 12, 2014 #60 Share Posted August 12, 2014 The last few years we've been lucky to have enough OBC that our S & S card has been low. Last year, we even had $55 OBC left over on the 2nd leg of our B2B. I withdrew it to a slot machine to see if I could make something out of it. Nada. However, I had already done well at the slots the 1st week and some the 2nd weeks so that was OK. My SO does not drink at all, except maybe for a "free" Chocolate Mocha Getaway each cruise. I don't drink much and my $100 stockholder OBC pays for my nightly Chocolate Mocha Getaway. We have so many good photos from our previous cruises and bought 2 this last time with OBC. My SO has informed me there will be no more formal portraits!
Velvetwater Posted August 12, 2014 #61 Share Posted August 12, 2014 Our S+S account for 2 of us on a 12 day Baltic was under $400. I think it was so cheap for several reasons: 1)We dont do casinos, steakhouse (I dont like steakhouses) or the tat in the shops. 2) We had lots of port days (spent so much in ports...eek) 3) After getting on the ship with a few beers clinking away (they went through the scanner and everything) security waved us on so we just kept boarding with drinks from ports. We bought drinks in evenings and wine tasting and thta was it

8335GOULR Posted August 13, 2014 #64 Share Posted August 13, 2014 $8,000 (drinking, gambling and tips). Carnival should put you up in the captains suite like casino hotels do in Vegas.
