We are leaving on 9-27 on the Freedom, which will be our 25th Carnival cruise and in early Dec. on the Breeze which will make us Diamond and never an offer at all. :( I guess Carnival does worry about us also. John F

We have 3 booked with Carnival so that is probably the reason no offer for us.

Call your PVP. A couple of my Diamond friends did not get the email but someone from the Diamond desk called them. Since Platinums don't have a dedicated line, your PVP may call you or you can be proactive and call them.

Some of us got an email, call from the Diamond desk and a call from our PVP so all the bases were covered....lol

SkyMaster,

Which of the cruises did you book? We're on the Ecstasy. My husband met you on the Paradise recently, so we wondered if we would see you on the Ecstasy.

HI LINDA! Yep, I too, booked "Ecstasy". :D Can't wait to get aboard, and see you and your DH once again. It's gonna be a FUN CRUISE, and the PRICE IS RIGHT!

"SKY"

yes just call the Diamond desk. Every Diamond member qualifies. Non of the offers showed up for me but it was because my wife and I shared the same email address. the offer has been extended to 8-25.

I'm Platinum and I just got this offer. Unfortunately, I'm cruising the week BEFORE the Ecstasy, the week AFTER the Splendor (on the Splendor) and will be sailing DURING the Victory.

I've been watching for an offer like this for a year. I'm not sure what's worse: not getting an offer or getting one and not being able to use it. :(

We didn't receive an email or phone call but checked my "offers" a couple of days ago after seeing Diamonds were getting it and it was there. My Daughter (Platinum) checked her "offers" this a.m. and had received one, too.

We booked the Ecstasy as the dates worked out for all four of us! :)

Unfortunately, the policies haven't changed and there seems to be no intention of changing the policy. I thought I read some time back about new "brilliant" ideas, but nothing has come to fruition. I will still be 14 days short after my next cruise. While I am fortunate to live near a port, the current loyalty program seems to favor the larger markets which have more seven day cruises.

If CCL is trying to generate additional income, such an offer to the top 1-3% of frequent CCL cruisers isn't going to achieve that goal. Certainly they are not offering these cruises with the intent of losing money. I didn't get this offer, but agree with you that I would certainly consider a cruise they offered. A $200 cruise would be hard to pass on.

especially when you get a 200 obc which basically wipes the cruise fare out.

We are platinum but never got an offer. Maybe they are sending it to DH. He deletes all his emails!:mad: How do I tell if I have reached Diamond? I think I recall after our last cruise we received a notice that with that cruise we have now reached Diamond status, but I could be confused.

Diamond status is 200 cruise days sailed. Sign up on Carnivals website for the VIFP club. It should show you how many days sailed, what status you are, and if you have any special offers

I just read that Diamond cruisers are getting some special cruise offers...

not sure what kind of deal they are getting... but sure they deserve them. And then also, feeling a bit , well , I don't know... I was told i would be grandfathered to Diamond.... and it didn't happen... frustrated I guess would be the word. Because... after 26 cruises and many cruise days... I have never received a special offer in my VIFP offers... oh well... maybe some day.. the sad thing is I will not live long enough to hit the magic number that I now need to be Diamond... unless I live to be like 100.. and then SS wouldn't be enough to cover the taxes...

don't feel bad....I NEVER receive any offers...but my underaged teen son did receive the free cruise offer that was going around. Go figure that one! GRRR LOL.

Thanks Jamman! Looking forward to your reviews and congrats on the repo Splendor booking. WHAT A DEAL! But you, of all people, deserve something special right now.

200-200 = free. Its a great deal when all you have to pay is the air. I wouldnt do the San Juan that ends there. but a 4 day for air only? That is a good deal think on that one...

We got the very same offer. And we too are unable to go. The Splendor Cruise is the same time of my 50th HS Reunion...far away from where I live..and that is already planned and paid for......The two others were out of Miami...4 days. There is a thread of this board, right now, about how wild short cruises out of Miami can be. My Nephew took his family 4 years ago, out of Miami 4 day and they will never cruise again. You see the pictures of the wild parties, women flashing themselves. Drunk out of their minds ( Victory) on YouTube. Basically these must be the cruises that they absolutely could not sell. Appreciate the thought. But it is basically a worthless offer. I called and asked if we could change the date of the cruise for the Splendor and was told........several Times. NO. NEVER. NADA.................. I am irritated. But then I won't be tomorrow, so.............Don't be that upset over missing this offer. We have fifteen cruises on Carnival. 5 on Princess. 3 on HAL. All during the last 10 years. S0.............Not mad. Sort of irked that it could not be changed. And that they were such BAD cruises. That is sort of disrespectful. I think. Maybe I am wrong. Not worth working up a steam over it. We have had 2 casino offers. Not the really good ones, but the ones that are 25% off of Fun Select rates ( which are high anyway), and we have booked every one we have received.

Pardon previous posting. I see now that lots of Plats, Diamonds, etc are booking the 4 day cruises from Miami . They also can party hearty, but they do it with Class IMHO. None of them will be fighting the security guards. Nor flashing or mooning folks.......MOSTLY I am chapped about the Splendor. It is just my bad luck that I have been looking at the Splendor for TWO months. And the ONE Week I cannot go..........I get the offer. A black cloud must be over my head. I don't win in the casino. I don't win at Bingo. Now., finally a free cabin......on the ONE week I cannot go..(and on this offer........NO date changes. )bummer. I envy those on the Splendor cruise. I hope all of you have a blast. Ditto for the four days. And for the rest.......Bet you offers are coming . I think Carnival heard your bewilderment over the BEST Guests getting the LEAST offers.. .if any at all. It is a good start.

I agree, not impressed with this offer.
