Recommended Posts

What time do we have to disembark thomson dream on our last day ? On RCI we had to be off for about 9am, as we live on mallorca we can stay on until they chuck us off.......lol, but would like to know what the official time is.

We generally stay on until late afternoon (were told we could stay until the last coachload of departing guests leaves for the airport) - you can still use all the facilities/restaurants and if you have the drinks package you can use that until you leave.

However, on our cruise in October/November last year the ship was moving from its main berth in Palma to another area for a weeks re-fit rather than going on another cruise; that time we had to be off by 9.30 a.m.

They give you a disembarkation time according to the coach times for getting to the airport or Thomson's land-based accommodation.

If you are an independent traveller, you can stay all day. You do have to vacate your cabin by something like 9am, although can then book a day cabin.

Although you do have to be out of your cabin early we have never worried about booking a day cabin - have slummed it and freshened up in one of the washrooms.

Your suitcases will have already been collected (you will collect them from quayside as you leave) so you will only have hand luggage which can be stored as long as you like in whichever bar is designated as the secure day store - you are given a ticket to redeem any bags deposited there.

One thing we intend to do in future is to write what time we expect to leave on the luggage label. When we went to collect our suitcases as we disembarked at Malaga this year we found one case was missing. When we asked about this we were told that the Guardia had it/wanted to see us as they thought the cases may have been a security risk as they had no flight number/departure time on. The Guardia officer came with the case and asked us to open it; he laughed when he found just a load of dirty washing!
