Shmoo here Posted August 17, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 17, 2014 We are cruising from Long Beach to Hawaii and then back to Long Beach mid October on a 15 day Hawaiian Cruise. Does anyone know how the weather is on sea days, and how the seas usually are? Our Hawaii cruise was Oct 14-28. Except for the first day out, and the last two days coming back, we had absolutely gorgeous weather. First and last days were fairly cool, as would be "normal" for southern California at that time of year. The second to last day was extremely windy, sunny, but very windy. Causing very large swells that would reach the 3 deck on our ship. Actually most of the cruise there was always a fairly stiff breeze on the open decks, but it was sunny. All that being said, weather, in spite of all our scientific knowledge, is quite variable at any time of year. I'd be prepared for somewhat cool, breezy weather, except for the time you are actually in the islands.
