KPfromCT Posted August 20, 2014 #229 Share Posted August 20, 2014 You must be THRILLED with what you got away with.....:rolleyes: While I completely disagree with BOTH instances, I'll leave it at that. Liked your review and pictures. But shame on you. If YOUR kid was missing, I am pretty sure you'd want the announcements in the staterooms. jlindemer Posted August 20, 2014 #232 Share Posted August 20, 2014 So in the end, after 47 apologies, I told Ana Maria what I wanted. I had lost one night of sleep, so I wanted to be compensated for one night of sleep. She agreed. We figured out the nighty rate of this cruise, and I was given that amount in cash, came out to $300.35. Again, this is not SOP, but Victory #2 for The Mouthpiece. I know some may think it's wrong to ask for money over this, I don't. That stupid kid and his stupid parents are nothing to me, why should they cost ,e my sleep, or anything else. I told Ana she should bill his parents the $300.35 they were giving me. She laughed and said "I wish". I then went down to the desk, she gave me my money, and a hug, awwwwww. So in the end, The Mouthpiece netted a total of $752.35 for this trip, and I never even set foot in the casino...not bad.:D:cool: Did I miss part of the story? It went from the cowboy to this post?

ALWAYZCRUISEN Posted August 20, 2014 #234 Share Posted August 20, 2014 This story has alot of holes, some parts missing, some parts being added. I'm not sure what to believe. All this talk about getting this credit and that cash from Carnival and having a special gift for getting these items...well the Walmart-Carnival is right up your alley, no need to go to Royal because they may be tighter on the dollar. Why leave if you are making a profit? I tell you what, go with me when I cruise and help me get some cash.

Cushing985 Posted August 20, 2014 #236 Share Posted August 20, 2014 Added all the ones you did so far. You just add a tag to the front and back like this: after the url of the picture on the same line, no spaces needed on either end. ;) Dang NightOne...you're a rock star! Thanks for making a great review even greater!
AdGuyMG Posted August 20, 2014 #237 Share Posted August 20, 2014 (edited) Overall it was a good .... I don't know if I would call it a review .... more like a good, well written reality based docu-drama with a mix of both family fun times and sadly tragic events peppered with fictional embellishments for entertainment value. Cheetah474 Posted August 20, 2014 #238 Share Posted August 20, 2014 Really interesting review. I enjoyed the pics of Beaches Boscobel which brought back memories of our trip there a couple of years ago for a long stay. I totally agree that it's a great place to stop if a day pass is available *and* you have connections to get one - as it is not standard or typical for that property. I also enjoyed the commentary on the dingus cowboy - a hilarious fable for all cruisers. That said, I'm really curious about how the OP got Carnival to give her $300 in cash for disrupted sleep. Maybe it was because it caused a major health or mental health trauma for her? Aggrevated a pre-existing condition? If that's the case, I could see how she would be compensated with an OBC or future cruise credit. I've stayed in lots of hotels and traveled pretty frequently and I've never heard of a hotel staff member( because that is what Ana Maria really is) giving a guest cash on behalf of the hotel. Maybe she just gave it out of her own pocket...... Sent from my iPhone using Forums

momof3cruisers Posted August 20, 2014 #241 Share Posted August 20, 2014 Was the info about the missing boy and the 45 min phone call in the same post? I feel like there must be something more...45 min of complaining about being disturbed due to a lost child. Or any person? I'd be more concerned if they didn't do everything in their power to find someone who was missing. I was enjoying the review, but that kind of soured it for me. NightOne, thanks for adding the pics. Cushing985 Posted August 20, 2014 #242 Share Posted August 20, 2014 He didn't look like he had anything on him. No backpack, no bag, nothing. Just The Hat. I guess he finally figured out he wasn't so special after all!
hancogran Posted August 20, 2014 #243 Share Posted August 20, 2014 What am I missing? I was just reading the part about the guy missing the triumph and then it goes right to this. I can't find the parts where the lost kid were discussed. Ditto for me! I thought I missed it while reading so I went back to double check and came up with the same as you?? rtfnl Posted August 20, 2014 #244 Share Posted August 20, 2014 (edited) I met Ana Maria when I were on the Breeze in 2012. She is very nice and helped make a difficult situation a little bit easier. When Carnival compensates a passenger while on board it is done as an obc in hope that all monies will be spent on board. My family received almost 3,000 as obc in 2005 or 2006 due to my father having to get off the ship after we attended the muster drill because of a mixup with medical supplies. When we caught up with the ship in Panama we were told to come to guest services and was told that since we cruise Carnival on a regular basis and always have a large group with us the company would be reimbursing all of our expenses that I occurred while we were off the ship. I had to provide receipts. Also, we were compensated for 3 fares. Balconies. My parents and myself, although, my mom didn't get pd of the ship. Before any compensation is made, your cruise history is already reviewed. I enjoyed reading op's review. Edited August 20, 2014 by rtfnl
