drychi Posted August 20, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 20, 2014 My wife and I are interested in visiting this area of St. Lucia during our early January, 2015 cruise on Celebrity Reflection. We will be in port from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. What is the best way to accomplish this goal. We don't wish to take a full day tour of the whole island, just want to go to this area, spend some time in the garden and town, and return to ship. Thanks for the help. onyx007 Posted August 21, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 21, 2014 Soufriere is a long drive off Castries. I did it with a bord tour which took 7 hours (including the Volcano, the great botanical garden and two short breaks in Anse-la-Raye and Marigot and a lunch break with a great view over Soufriere.) At least 4 hours out of this 7 were driving ! I return this winter, this time I will probably book trough a local operator, but to enjoy your day you should still count this trip with 6 to 7 hours at least! drychi Posted August 21, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted August 21, 2014 Thanks for your information onyx007. I understand the roads are curvy and wind through some hilly terrain. Was that your memory?
onyx007 Posted August 22, 2014 #4 Share Posted August 22, 2014 Thanks for your information onyx007. I understand the roads are curvy and wind through some hilly terrain. Was that your memory? It's quite curvy and up and down, but the roads are alright and if you have a good driver you'll be ok. At least it's all concrete and not gravel roads. Just look out of the windows instead the street and enjoy the scenery.
