Things to do in Miami or Ft. Lauderdale

Hi there,

We are cruising out of Miami port and flying in/out of FLL. On our return, we're renting a car and will have 4-6 hours (flight leaves at 5:30 pm) of time to fill.

 

I'm working my way through the FLL posts, but anyone have ideas for things we can do inexpensively to fill the time? Either in Miami or Ft. Lauderdale?

 

It will be me and DH, plus our son (7) and my in laws. They are mobile, but aren't going to be up for anything too physical.

We rented a car in Miami when we got off the ship and drove to Sawgrass Mills for the day. We returned the car at the airport in Fort Lauderdale. We shopped and had lunch. They have a movie theatre and all the stores you would find at any large mall.

We're doing the same. We plan on wandering around south beach, Miami.

There's also a lovely beach boardwalk in Ft. Lauderdale.
