sail7seas Posted August 30, 2014 #26 Share Posted August 30, 2014 (edited) I don't think they are large enough to use as charger plates. At least they would be too small for me to use as such. Edited August 30, 2014 by sail7seas
serendipity1499 Posted August 30, 2014 #27 Share Posted August 30, 2014 (edited) With all respect, do you really think a telephone customer service rep will have better or more accurate information than the information Captain Card, the ARTIST, just shared with us. HE is the person who designs/paints those tiles. If he said it is safe to eat off the plates, it is safe to eat off the plates. ;) :) Sail I'm not sure Stephen said it was OK to eat off of ALL the plates.. He discussed different glazes & pigments & colors...I took his post to mean he was not sure which ones Debbie was speaking of.. Also don't think they are all delftware.. Also took it to mean he apparently did not design them all & does not know if they all are OK for food.. Maybe I misunderstood him & he does design them all.. question him first Agree a HAL Res Agent would not know, but if the poster contacted the Mariner Society & told them which plates she was considering using I would bet someone would be able to find out & give her the correct info.. Debbie, My plates were made by Royal Goedewaagen & just verified they are delftware, but no where on the Certificate of Authenticity does it mention any thing about food..I'm going to e-mail them & ask if our plates can be used for food.. Ours actually have a hole in the back for hanging, so I'm not sure they can be OK for food.. Edited August 30, 2014 by serendipity1499
