huggs Posted August 26, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 26, 2014 Just wondering if the sofa beds in the balcony suites or the mini suites are the most comfortable. It looks like the balcony suites ( NCL Jewel) are actual sofa beds and mini suites just pull open... any feedback appreciated. We may have a 3rd sharing with us and it will be a long cruise so want her most comfortable...and no we cannot afford a suite or Haven suite...as much as I dream about it. Thank you
FF Woman Posted August 26, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 26, 2014 We had a mini suite on the Jewel last February and our adult DD slept on it. We requested an egg crate mattress for it and she slept fine on it. I don't know about the balcony sofa beds since we've never used one. But I'd recommend the mini suite for three people. You'll be able to get three chairs on the balcony and there is a little extra cabin space which is needed for three people.
Hikini Posted August 26, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 26, 2014 I can't speak for the sofas in the balcony rooms but in the mini suites and full suites, the sofas made into a bed have been just fine, with the exception of one in a family suite we had on the Star. It sagged in the middle so the person sleeping on it wasn't comfortable unit we propped up the middle with some pillows.
Tiggertastic Posted August 26, 2014 #4 Share Posted August 26, 2014 My son who was over 6ft each time we used a sofa bed says he always found them all comfy. The difference was that in the balcony if he was asleep I had to climb on his bed to get onto the balcony but there was enough wriggle room round the bottom of the bed in the mini suite
