internet packages

Recommended Posts

On the Grandeur I got a brochure and the info for that cruise was:

$.75 per minute

$24.95 38 minutes $.66/minute

$49.95 90 minutes $.56/minute

$99.95 208 minutes $.48/minute

$199.95 555 minutes $.36/minute

$399.95 1666 minutes $.25/minute

Hope this helps!

JMG Thank you

wow, that's expensive lol, but you know teenagers, they freak if they have to lose contact for a day !!!!

Thanks again

Hopefully, the ship will have the unlimited packages for your cruise. You don't want to be paying those per minute prices with the teenagers and their smartphones! Also make sure they turn off cellular data, because that could be a huge surprise on your cell bill.

Not sure, I was able to use WiFi in my room (JS on Deck 10) but flyer listed Hotspot locations. It was fairly fast for a ship. How would you know for sure if it had pervasive wireless?

Pervasive to me means the staterooms. Maybe Majesty had pervasive installed, or your stateroom was located in range of a hotspot.

Does anyone know if you have to go to a hotspot on Brilliance or if you can get wifi in your room. We'll be on deck 9 not far from the middle. (Port side)

Brilliance has pervasive WiFi, so you can get it in your stateroom.

Does anyone know if the Oasis will have unlimited Wifi? If so, how much?

Thanks.

Oasis has unlimited plans now. One plan is $190 for one device for one week. I believe 2 devices is around $230.

I am on a TA in November from Southampton to the Caribbean. Does anyone know if there will be an unlimited internet package on Indy and also what benefit you get from being a diamond member (first time sailing as a diamond). Also can you get internet in the cabins on this ship?

Many thanks :)

Indy has WiFi in the staterooms. Diamond members will get 20% off of internet packages. Don't know about the unlimited plans on Indy.

Thank you Bob, that is really helpful. Is there anyway of finding that out or is it something you just find out when you get onboard?

Many thanks :)

Best way to find out is to wait a bit and someone with experience on Indy will chime in here soon.:)

Explorer now offers unlimited plans so I don't think the above prices will be applicable.

Current pricing on the 9 night sailings are:

$10.00 - 30 minutes continuous access from time of purchase, RCL's computer

$29.95 - 60 minutes intermittent access from time of purchase, 1 device at time

$59.90 - 24 hours continuous access from time of purchase, 1 device at time

$140.95 - Unlimited access for the final 3 days, 2 devices at a time

$189.95 - Unlimited access for the entire cruise, 1 device at a time

$229.95 - Unlimited access for the entire cruise, 2 devices at a time

The 14 day is a one time itinerary so maybe they won't bother raising the prices of the unlimited plan? Or perhaps they will.
